LSVT LOUD is typically a four-week treatment program provided by speech therapists for people with Parkinson’s disease. One of the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease is decreased speaking volume. As a result, people with Parkinson’s tend to interact less socially because they are often unable to make themselves heard and participate in conversations. LSVT addresses this symptom and has been shown to be effective at improving the voice volume in some individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
LSVT BIG is typically a four-week treatment program provided by physical or occupational therapists for people with Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s Disease often affects the ability to move. People with Parkinson’s often walk with a slow shuffling gait or have freezing episodes where they are unable to move their body when and how they want. LSVT BIG addresses movement issues in people with Parkinson’s Disease
